Brickwall Farm Cottage was formerly two farm cottages and are shown on a map dated 1751.

The two cottgages were then converted into one house which became the village shop in the 1950's.

In the 1970's the village shop closed and then opened as  a hairdressing salon. In 1982 Janet who owned a hairdressing business in Tring purchased the property and  continued trading as a hairdresser.

In 1992 the house was refurbished and the original old beams in the lounge, dining room and the lintels over the original window openings were discovered.

In 2001 Janet retired from hairdressing, thinking she would stop work and that we would move home.

However we did not really like any properties that we viewed and decided to stay on in the village and open the bed and breakfast.

We now attract guests  who are working in the area and for holiday makers from all parts of the world.
